Wondering around the christmas section of Wilkinson's should surely make me feel slightly christmassy but I feel a complete lack of excitement for a day once held so dear to me! Perhaps it was the poor excuse for a christmas tree - a possible bargain at £2.50 - yet I would describe it more as a bunch (sparse at that) of green prickly wires...

in the hope to get into the christmas spirit I thought I'd share this shoot from August (?!) 2008 issue of Numero

after living in this house since september we have only just managed to get the internet...

Lots I would have liked to put on here during that time so I'll start with this terms uni work

So I havent been on the internet properly for a long time and as I guessed I havent kept up with this blog, but I have excuses!!
I've been working at Brower Lewis PR, however the most exciting thing to report is dressing at PPQ - I stupidly didnt take a camera (not wanting to look the outsider but now I have nothing to share except the written word!)

So this is the model I dressed ....

Okay so I've been looking all day for decent pictures to put up to compensate for my lack of photography...
and ive found the best ever...
Guess whose nose this is..YEP its mine..I made damn sure I got in that picture

And the picture below is even better...my leg, shorts and shoes are visible

This was at The Mayfair hotel where we had free cocktails until we went back to the Red Bull Fashion Factory on New Oxford Street for more free drinks...

I'll admit to being an out right Hopeless Romantic and if you have just one soft bone in your body I'm sure you'll appreciate this blog just as much as me...

Urban Outfitters are giving those who missed out on the whole polaroid thing a second and last chance, if you have the money check out their impossible project...

I bought a polaroid camera in a charity shop for a measly £3 and snapped up the last packet of film in darlington a few months ago...now having reached their expiry date and me being too cautious rather than frivolous snapping I'm left with 5 pictures to take...

Here are my first four, the fifth currently resides in Singapore along with my best friend who has left to study law for the year

For years my dads christmas presents for me have consisted of useful fashion books with historical fashion photographs shaping my love for all things vintage particularly the 1960s style...for years I have worn liquid eyeliner and mini (micro even?) skirts yet never seemed to do it whole heartedly - I decided to source more pictures more of the style icons and gain further inspiration...

Isnt her hair amazing...however, I feel I cannot praise her too highly because of her racist links...
Bardot was fined 5,000 euros for inciting racial hatred in her best-selling book 'A cry in the silence,' although apologising the court said:

 "Madame Bardot presents Muslims as barbaric and cruel invaders, responsible for terrorist acts and eager to dominate the French to the extent of wanting to exterminate them."

Not quite my kind of lady then...she seems to care more for animals than for human beings...

erm maybe time to find a new style icon..

French singer/actress - sleek simple style
she seems a much better choice - testament to the fact she collaborated with Blur on their "La Comedie" version of "To the end"

Jane Birkin

I love this outfit - a succesful ebay night led me to gain a pair of shoes just like the ones above ...

No room to be self conscious modelling yourself on Jane Birkin - she showed it all - but why not - I tend to get my legs out alot but why not - if we were to discuss feminism rather than addressing the male gaze I am liberated to do and show as I please...I believe Ms Birkin would be on my side..
Birkin was often seen with a wicker basket on her arm (along with her lover Serge Gainsbourg) but would now probably be more famous for her Hermes Birkin bag - created for her when she was seen struggling with her young daughter getting off an aeroplane (actress Charlotte Gainsbourg)
